Creating a fused glass flower is a multi-step process. The petals are cut from sheet glass then place in a kiln and heated to melt the glass holding the flower shape together. Then the petals are placed back in the kiln on a mold for shaping. In addition, the leaves are cut to shape, then fused onto a length of copper wire. Once all the components are made the flower and leaves are attached to copper tubing for display. The sunflower can be hung in a window like a stained glass suncatcher. The hibiscus, lily, iris, and rose are three-dimensional and come on a copper tube for display.
